Who We Are

The Thunder Bay Malayalee Association is a non-profit cultural organization that brings together people of Kerala origin in and around the Peel region. Individuals of Kerala heritage residing in Thunder Bay (Northern Ontario) are welcome to become active members. Established in 2024, the association aims to promote social, physical, educational, economic, cultural, and youth activities for its members and the broader community.

Serving as a central hub for those of Kerala descent, the Association endeavors to showcase the vibrant Kerala culture throughout Canada. Among its annual events are a summer picnic, Onam celebrations, Christmas festivities, and various other social and cultural programs.

We envision a vibrant Malayali community in Thunder Bay that embraces its cultural identity, seamlessly integrates into Canada’s multicultural society, and empowers the younger generation to thrive while preserving their linguistic and cultural heritage.
